Zofingen's trademark is its historic centre. It is the largest preserved historical centre in the canton of Aargau and offers numerous attractions. The town's rich history is tangible in many places: Zofingen skilfully combines dynamic development with a living tradition. The town was founded in 1201 and has enjoyed market rights for centuries. The mosaic floors of a manor house still bear witness to Roman colonisation.
